A Possible Stop Animation Project

Pick something in everyday life that would normally have fluidlike movement. Use this as your subject to create a stop animation. After doing some stop animations I realized a lot of the reason why it is appealing to me is because of the harsh cut movements of the subjects. It would be interesting to see what would happen if someone took something like water, etc. and used it as their subject. The possibilities are endless and leave it open to the artist to explore how they would like.

Making a stop animation

I thought the program was very easily learned and simple. However, the fact that I could not edit the video clips individually, after creating the whole thing was a bit irritating. I guess if I had known from the start so I edited each one while I went this wouldn't have been so. It was easy to make the videos otherwise, and enjoyable to see the final product.

Using HTML

If I were a teacher, And I was to do a lesson on HTML, after the class learned the basics I would show a simple webpage and ask them to try and get a page of their own to look similar to the one I displayed. It would be good exercise to use the tools they had recently learned of. Later on they could have more experience under their belt to try and create a page artistically for homework, with less worry about the mechanics behind HTML.

In class discussion

The process of internal and external descriptive and interpretive critiqueing has proven to be useful to me. It's funny, because I usually sort my ideas in my head but have never recognized what outlets I was placing them in. The template allows someone to use all thoughts in the mind constructively. Often, there are so many thoughts that some slip the mind, however, thinking this way, and writing this way allows me to keep track of what I think during a critique. It also allows me to explain what I think in a way which will make sense to a class, not just me. There is also the advantage of recognizing opinionated vs. non-opinionated ideas, so students don't mis-read a teachers initiatives.

will be necessary to capture the

interacting people understand the aim
